Akiles WireMac-21 2:1 Wire Binding Machine

Designed for efficiency and productivity, the Akiles WireMac-21 wire binding machine is made with heavy-duty construction and has a comprehensive range of features. The WireMac-21 has a powerful manual punching mechanism that can punch up to 20 sheets per pull (based on 20 lb. paper). It has a maximum punching length of 14" (with an open throat for even longer sheet sizes) and is equipped with 27 fully-disengageable dies, allowing it to accommodate a wide array of paper sizes without leaving any partially-punched holes along the sheets' edges. The WireMac-21 has a built-in wire closer that can bind books from 3/16" to 1-1/4" in thickness, and features a "Wire Closer Selector" that allows for precision adjustments based on the size of the wire spine and ensures a secure closure every time. The double-handle design lets the operator control the punch and the wire closer independently, increasing efficiency and reducing wear-and-tear on the machine. This machine also has an adjustable punching depth margin and a sliding side margin control to help provide consistent results across projects of any size. The WireMac-21 is compatible with all 2:1 pitch wire binding supplies, including 21-loop GBC WireBinds.
